Success using x-rays to treat infections was suppressed for profits of less effective treatments by drugs, by false claims that radiation is harmful down to low doses.

Today, gas gangrene and other deadly infections that were successfully treated by x-ray to stop the infection, are treated again by unnecessary amputation and/or extensive surgery of tissues with massive antibiotic regimens, with high mortality. This is killing people for drug profits by presenting false information to the medical practitioners.
